Another Great Workshop Coming Up

Well...

I'm excited! We have another great Webs & Wikis workshop coming up in a couple of days. I'm sure we'll all have a fun and educational time :)

I'm just now going through all the examples and checking that all the links and example pages still work.

The web really is a wondrous thing, isn't it!

A very successful pilot

Well, after we sorted out the network gremlins, the pilot got off to a very successful start. We managed to get through all of the material and from the feedback it was very well received and everyone seemed to enjoy the journey.

So I think we can say that the pilot lived up to my expectations and achieved the learning outcomes we set for it.

The group was a really fantastic group. I really enjoyed the dynamic input and great questions and discussions that ensued. And the demo of the blogs and podcasts that one of the members, Paul has been doing with other RMIT team members was fantastic. It really added to the experience and I will be sure to show future participants the great work that has been done with this technology.

So I'd like to thank everyone who came to the pilot and say I really enjoyed and appreciated your participation, company and feedback. Thanks!

The workshop takes shape

What the...?

It's saturday afternoon, the birds are singing sweetly outside my window... it's a beautiful sunny day... and the I'm inside, working on the Web Technology workshop design. It's coming together nicely, and I'm happy with progress so far.

Time however for some exercise! Perhaps a run along the lake. I may even be fortunate enough to see the local dolphins playing and diving. I remember one memorable run... I always run to the main jetty and out onto it where I turn around at the very end, taking in the spectacular view of the mountains across the lake. This particular time, I was just pirouetting around on the end of the jetty when a pod of dolphins surfaced near the jetty and then proceeded to swim directly under where I was standing. One dolphin looked me directly in the eyes. It was a very special experience and I was the only person there. Amazing!

So time to take a break. Get my running shoes on. And head out to refresh and clear my mind and body.
